The Synthetic Clip-In Extensions For THINNING Hair is a specialty product to help women make thin hair thicker. We would recommend these for natural hair that is shorter than shoulder length.
The difference between the Synthetic Clip-In Extensions for LONGER Hair and the Synthetic Clip-In Extensions For THICKER Hair is the amount of clip-in pieces you receive.
- If you are looking for fuller hair at your current hair length, we would recommend the 3 Piece Synthetic Clip-In Extensions For Thicker Hair.
- If you are looking to increase your length up to four inches, we would recommend the 5 Piece Synthetic Clip-In Extensions for longer hair.
- If you are looking to increase your hair length by more that four inches we recommend to order both the 3 Piece Synthetic Clip-In Extensions For Thicker Hair and 5 Piece Synthetic Clip-In Extensions for longer hair for the most realistic blend.
If wearing the extensions every day, LOX recommends shampooing them once every 3-4 weeks. If wearing occasionally, LOX recommends shampooing them once every 3-4 months. For longer lasting extensions, the hair should be washed only as needed. Avoid using hot water as it can lead to tangling, loosening of wefts and may damage the fibers. Never swim or shower while wearing extensions.
Steps for Shampooing:
- Before shampooing, gently remove any tangles with a wide tooth comb, pick or brush,
- Holding the extensions at the clips, rinse the extensions with cold water (using warm or hot water will damage the extensions). Let the water run in the direction from clips to the ends of the hair. To avoid tangles do not drench the hair extensions.
- Shampoo the hair under cold water and gently stroke the hair downward starting from the top of the weft down to the ends.
- Allow extensions to dry overnight.
Steps for Conditioning:
- Condition the hair in a downward stroke while leaving the conditioner in for 3-5 minutes. Do not apply the conditioner at the base of the extensions.
- Carefully brush the hair while conditioner is still in.
- Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
- Blot (do not scrub) hair dry with a towel and allow to dry overnight.
The uniqueness of our Fiberlite Technology™ is its style memory. This means that the style you shampoo the extensions in is the same style that the extensions will maintain when they dry. If the original hair style is altered and shampooed it will keep the new altered style after shampooing.
Blow drying should be done using a cool setting only. Allow time for cooling when curling synthetic hair, this cooling time forms the shape.
- Take a 1 inch strand and warm it up by quickly running the iron down from top to bottom.
- Start at the bottom and insert curling iron. Roll to the top of the extension piece. Hold in place until strand feels warm, NOT hot.
- With the other hand hold a small towel. Carefully slide hair out of the iron and keep in a circular form. Hold the hair in place with the towel and allow the curl to completely cool.
